Overview
LOLapps is looking for a finance professional with superb analytic skills and strategic vision to take over core finance and accounting functions, and help drive the company’s growth. The company has tens of millions of users, is profitable and growing. We raised $4MM in a Series A led by Polaris Ventures.

The Director of Finance will take over daily corporate finance and accounting operations, and prepare those systems to scale. At least 50% of the position will be devoted to strategic analysis and development, working closely with the CEO and other managers on new product introduction, business development deal structure, corporate financing and company strategy. This is a superb stepping stone in a career path to VP-Finance and/or CFO, especially for talented individuals with a strong experience in FP&A (financial planning and analysis).
Corporate Finance
* Working with CEO and operating managers.
* Develop and maintain company model
* Manage cash and investments
* Project manage equity and debt financing activities
Accounting
* Working with operations management.
* Responsible for all accounting functions including: accounts payable, accounts receivable (billing and collections), bank reconciliations, cash management, payroll, monthly close, financial statements, sales tax, income tax.
* Monthly financial packet including month-end close, reporting to department managers and board
Administration
* Working independently and in support of operating managers.
* Contract management
* HR benefits and documentation management
Compliance with financing agreements and reporting requirements
* Financial and Strategic Analysis
* Working with CEO and all management.
* New product introduction participation, including: project budgeting, profitability, market analysis and risk assessment.
* Business development participation, including: project budgeting, deal definition, structuring of corporate relationships and negotiations strategy.
* Vendor management participation, including deal definition, risk assessment and management, negotiations strategy and compliance.
* Major contracts participation, including: project budgeting and financials, customer financing, financial risk analysis and compliance.
New Section
* At least six years in progressively responsible finance and accounting positions, ideally including a mix of experience with growth stage companies, mature businesses and audit.
* Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis of products, markets, and public and private companies.
* Facility with Quickbooks and experience managing corporate accounting operations.
* Experience implementing and managing inventory management systems.
* Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level. As Director of Finance for a small company, in addition to your substantial contributions at the strategic level, you will be personally handling the daily accounting.
